Monday night (Latin) Social: 10 February 2006

Monday night socials usually have a standard format.

We start with the progressive dances where you change partners throughout the dance.

Then we have teaching time, where we learn one dance over the course of a month or so. At the moment it is the Cha.

During the breaks on a Monday night, we have one or more line dances, including the Cha Line, Samba line or Jive line dance:

(Barb: I didn’t realise what he had done, until it was large on the computer screen, and after I recovered from laughing I thought -- you can’t be serious!)

Towards the end we have the Monte Carlo, which is a game that eventually leaves only two couples on the dance floor, and then a prize is awarded to the winner dependent on what colour card is drawn!

At the end we do another set of progressive dances:
